At Next Gen Contracting, we bring 20+ years of hands-on construction experience to every project. Led by Derek - a Squamish local - our team specializes in home renovations, additions, decks, exterior upgrades, strata projects, and building envelope work.

Derek McCall
Owner and General Contractor
Derek was born and raised in Squamish, and he's spent the last 12 years building NextGen Contracting from the ground up. For him, this isn't just a job — it's his hometown, and every project is a chance to help a neighbour build something that lasts.
When he's not on a job site, you'll usually find Derek out on a long dog walk with his dog Tikka, or out riding his motorcycle through the Sea-to-Sky corridor. Tikka actually comes to work most days too, so don't be surprised if you get a friendly greeting from her when Derek shows up to your site.
Twelve years in, Derek still believes the best projects come from real relationships — not just good work, but showing up, listening, and treating every home like it matters.
